Golden Age Ceramic Map community arts project in Delft

Nan Deardorff-McClain from Smashing tiles has been beautifying walls of Delft which were littered with graffiti through colorful mosaics since 2008. She involves people from the community from all age groups and walks of life in her workshops. In 2018 she is partnering up with Delft Ceramist Colja De Roo for a large mosaic that will include 1,500 ceramic houses and city elements inspired by a famous map of the Delft historical centre going back to the Golden Age. The end result will be spectacular a 15 m2 artwork with 3D effects and will brighten up a side street not far from the Delft market square in need of a make-over.
