On Saturday, July 14 and on Sunday, July 15 2018 the 14th edition of the International Ceramics festival ‘Delft Ceramica’ will take place in the lovely historical centre of Delft.
All participating artists of the Delft Ceramica have to meet certain criteria, i.e. professionalism, quality, originality or innovation. This year over 50 ceramists come from all over Europe and of course from all corners of The Netherlands as well. Their selection includes ceramics for your kitchen, home decoration, garden and even jewellery. Styles, techniques and colours of these pieces vary greatly from abstract to realistic, cute, elegant or delicate. Entrance is free. http://www.delftceramica.nl/en/experience-ceramics-delft.
On Saturday 14 July the festival will be located on the West Side of the Oude Delft street and the St. Agatha square at the Museum Prinsenhof.
On Sunday 15 July on the Market of Delft. The distance between the Market and the Oude Delft is just 100 meters
It is within walking distance of the Delft main train station. If you would rather take the Delft shuttle you can depart from the bus station and ride it to the market square. If you come by car, have a look at paying parking lots in Delft: https://parkerendelft.com/en . Parking fines are common if you park on the wrong street in the centre. You can combine your visit with a nice meal, some shopping or visiting Delft attractions. Have a look at City’s Finest website for some restaurants and shops suggestions!
