On Sunday, April 15 from 12 noon till 5:00 PM, Delft store owners who are part of the Blue Sunday association put together a lively programme of activities for children in the historic centre of Delft.
Children can spring on a bouncing castle, do some arts and crafts, or meet Frozen characters Olaf and Elsa. They can also visit balloon artists and clowns Lampie en Peertje. Try the old fashioned traditional Dutch games on the Beestenmarkt, they are a lot of fun. Start with the market square and find out where else special children entertainment is available.
On the market square the Rabo Bank booth will hand out coloring plates for a colouring competition with several age categories and nice prizes for children aged 2 to 10. Winners will be announced on April 22, 2018.
Blue Sunday is an initiative by store and cafe’ owners to promote shopping on Sundays in the historic centre of Delft. Their programme always combines shopping with entertainment, live music, culture, special workshops depending on the theme. You can easily come to Delft by tram (lines 1 and 19), train or by car. The roads around the train station have been fullly renovated and an extra parking garage was created this year.
